Inclinometers
In stock
The NBN and NKN inclinometers detect the inclination in the gravitation field using MEMS sensors (micro-electro-mechanical-system), which are integrated circuits manufactured using silicon bulk micromechanical techology. These micromechanical structures are used to form dual capacities. If these structures are deflected in the case of acceleration, e.g. gravitational acceleration, this results in capacity changes, which are measured.
Sensors with one or two measuring axes are available whereas each axis has a range up to ±90° with an absolute accuracy up to ±0,1°. The inclinometers are adjustable to zero and among others resolution, measuring range and signal path are programmable by the customer.
Two mechanical versions are available: as printed circuit board form (NKN 55) or in a stable aluminium or stainless steel housing (NBN 65). The electronic connection is designed via one or two cables or connectors, respectively in order to loop the CANopen field-bus and the voltage supply through.
For safety critical applications encoders with two redundant systems and CANopen safety profile exist. A SIL 2 (safety integrity level) certification can be provided.
Besides CANopen models with analog outputs (0(4) mA to 20 mA, 0 V to 10 V, ±10 V) are available. Customer specific solutions with different housings, connectors or special software, for example, can be realized.
The main features of the NBN/NKN are
- Measuring angle: up to ±90°
- One or two axes
- Absolute accuracy: ±0,5°, optional ±0,1°
- Protection grade: IP00 (printed circuit board form), IP65 (housing form, optional IP69K)
- Temperature: −40 °C to 85 °C
- Device profile: CiA 410 version 1.2
